BOCA RATON, Fla. — Dozens of teachers along with students making their voices heard at the Florida Atlantic administration building . The protesters holding signs that read save out students and cut the cuts.

FAU typically offers nearly 3,000 summer classes, which cost  up to $12 million. This summer, only abut 2,100 will be offered. Faculty members say the decisions on what classes to cut were made without consulting them, and that’s one reason why they are angry. Students are upset because they worry the classes they need won’t be available.

Chris Robe is a communications  professor and faculty union president. He says teachers will also lose out on making Extra money because of fewer classes

Protesters  were joined by members of the Fort Lauderdale Occupy movement who put the teachers grievances into song.
